Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
This policy explains what personal information HommyWell collects when you visit hommywell.com or order from us, why we collect it, who we share it with and what your rights are. If you have any questions, write to hello@hommywell.com.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number (if you provide it), the products you order and your order history.
- Payment details: payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number goes directly to Stripe; we never see or store it. If you choose to save a card for later, Stripe stores it.
- Your account: if you create an account, your login details and the information you save in it.
- The Almanac: if you sign up for our seasonal letter, your email address and the date you signed up.
- Reviews: if you leave a product review, the name and email address you enter and your review. Your email address is never published.
- Messages: anything you send us by email.
- Usage data: information about how you use the site (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location based on your IP address), collected through cookies and Google Analytics.
How we use it
- To process, make, ship and support your order, including handling damaged or lost parcels and refunds.
- To send you emails about your order. About two weeks after your order is completed, we send one email asking how your skin feels and inviting you to leave a review.
- To send you The Almanac, if you signed up for it.
- To answer your messages.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
If you are in the EU, the UK, Norway or Switzerland, we rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you (your order), your consent (The Almanac and analytics cookies, where consent is required), our legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, improving the site, the review request email) and our legal obligations (for example, keeping accounting records).
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We share only what is needed with the companies that help us run the shop:
- Selfnamed, our manufacturing and fulfilment partner in the EU, receives your name, shipping address, phone number, email address and the products you ordered, so they can make, pack and ship your order.
- Couriers (UPS in the United States, FedEx in Europe and the UK) receive your delivery details to deliver your parcel.
- Stripe processes your payment and helps prevent fraud.
- Brevo delivers the emails we send from the site, such as order confirmations.
- Google (Google Analytics, via Google Tag Manager) collects usage data for us.
- Our hosting provider stores the website and its database.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
International transfers
Our partners operate in the European Union and the United States, so your information may be processed in a country other than your own. Where the law requires it, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
- Essential cookies keep your cart, checkout and login working, and help Stripe prevent fraud.
- Wishlist: the
hw_wishlistcookie remembers the products you save to your wishlist, on your device only. - Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand how the site is used.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout won’t work.
How long we keep it
- Order records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Your account: until you ask us to delete it.
- The Almanac: until you unsubscribe.
- Reviews: as long as they are published, or until you ask us to remove them.
- Emails: as long as we need them to help you.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct it;
- delete it (unless we must keep it, for example for accounting);
- stop using it for The Almanac or for analytics;
- send it to you or another company in a portable format.
To do any of this, email hello@hommywell.com. We will reply within 30 days. To unsubscribe from The Almanac, simply reply to any letter or write to us.
California residents have the right to know, correct and delete their personal information and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by California law.
EU, UK, Norway and Switzerland residents can also object to our use of their information based on legitimate interests and can complain to their local data protection authority.
Children
Our site and products are not intended for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and payments are handled by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
